WarioWare Gold comes out in two weeks for the Nintendo 3DS and the United States eShop has finally received the demo for the wacky micro-game collection.
Announced back in March during a Nintendo Direct presentation, WarioWare Gold takes the best mini-games that have been introduced throughout the 15-year old franchise, while also adding in new ones and remixing old ones, putting the number of mini-games this time around at a whopping 300. You can check out the wacky and zany opening video for the micro-game collection right here:
As you can see, Wario and friends are fully voiced for the first time ever in a WarioWare game. Nintendo has also let out some details about the game, like the fact that players will be able to dub their own voice over the in-game cutscenes, allowing for some pretty comical situations – memes are bound to be created.
If you never played a WarioWare game before, let us explain how it all works. There are certain stages based off of a specific character and a theme, each stage has a set collection of micro-games and you must complete the “task” at hand in just a few short seconds. You usually have four lives and if you mess up and lose those lives, it’s game over buddy. You might start a game and a prompt might pop up giving one-word directions like “pop”, “pick”, or “grab”. Using quick reflexes, you have to figure out what the objective is and complete it as fast as possible – it’s all very fun and addictive, especially trying to beat your high score.
WarioWare Gold is set to launch for the Nintendo 3DS eShop on Aug 3 for North America and Europe, while people in Japan can grab it a day earlier on Aug 2.
