When it comes to being stylish on the battlefield, looks really do matter. That’s what was behind the thinking of many players, as well as Ubisoft, when this new update was revealed today. As players know, there are some really great pieces of armour included in the game, but not all of them can remain on you for too long due to levelling reasons. Yet, with this new Assassin’s Creed Odyssey customization system, sticking with the same look is, in fact, possible.
In a blog post that was released today, Ubisoft went into detail on the upcoming visual changes. Of course, because Ubisoft like to be difficult, they’ll be calling this new option ‘Transmog’ – make of that what you will. With Transmog, players will be able to grab the visuals of one item, and place it on another.
But wait, there’s more.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Visual Customization
As mentioned in the Ubisoft blog post, players will neither need to spend drachmae, nor wait to change the appearance of their equipment. This means that you’ll be able to create a new look at any time, no matter where you are.
You’ll also be pleased to know that these visuals are forever and, more excitingly, are actually seen as collectables by the game. Ubisoft explains that with each new piece of equipment found, it’s aesthetic will be added to your Transmog inventory. Though don’t worry, equipment you’ve found prior the update will also be included.
But wait, there’s even more!
These visuals also include armours you’ve brought from the Ubisoft club too. Meaning you’ll be able to equip that Underworld aesthetic and place it on normal armor, which is pretty damn sweet. Of course, there are limitations. You won’t be able to put a sword skin on a shield for example, or a spear skin on a heavy club. But beyond that? It really does seem like the sky is the limit.
