Another announcement hit the fighting game community by storm during EVO Japan 2019. That is the announcement of the release date for the Tekken 7 DLC fighters. As such, Negan and Julia Chang will be joining the fighting game roster on February 28 of this year. Of course, the crazed man from the critically acclaimed TV show is the real guest of honor here.
Negan and Julia Chang Tekken 7 DLC to be released on February 28
Negan from The Walking Dead was announced all the way back in August of last year. The bat-wielding psychopath is the highlight of the game’s second Season Pass. Of course, a few months later, he also got a fitting gameplay trailer that showed just how ruthless he actually is. You can watch the trailer below:
During EVO Japan 2019, Negan and Julia Chang had a new gameplay trailer showcasing their combos and playstyles. In the video, it’s revealed that the characters will make a debut as Tekken 7 DLC on February 28. The gameplay showcase can also be seen below:
Tekken 7 is certainly no stranger to having unusual guests joining the roster as DLC. In fact, the ring has seen fighters like Noctis from Final Fantasy XV; Akuma from Street Fighter; and Geese Howard from Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters. This is all thanks to the influence from Katsuiro Harada who is now the lead of Bandai Namco’s eSports division.
