For a while now, gamers have wanted the integration of Cross Play features on multiplatform game releases. While Sony was mostly opposed to the idea, Nintendo and Microsoft embraced it. Each passing day, more games were starting to see cross play integration. The latest game to do it is Rocket League with the Friends List update.
Rocket League Friends List is Now Live!
The Rocket League Friends List update has been implemented by Psyonix back in January. In fact, a lot of players showed their enthusiasm to play the game with players from other platforms. Of course, that means the feature is now out of its beta phase and out for the public. Once again, Cross Play supporters rejoice!
This update grants people their own RocketID. To summarize, the RocketID system allows Rocket League Players to add players to their friend list indiscriminately. As such, a PS4 player will be able to queue up or make a party with Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, or PC players. Finally, the Rocket ID username can be changed at any time. However, the numbers at the end cannot be changed.

On the other hand, the Rocket League Friends List update also marks the beginning of the tenth Season. For those unaware, this means that Season 9 rewards will be available to be redeemed by competitive players. However, casual players should not feel left out. In fact, this update also brought Dropshot, Hoops, Rumble, and Snow Day in Free Play.
