Resident Evil 2 DLC Currently Contemplated by Capcom

We’re only a few days away from the release of Resident Evil 2. January 25 cannot come quick enough so people finally re-experience the Raccoon City nightmare. However, even while the game will remain faithful to the original to the smallest detail; Capcom has also contemplated enhancing the story even further with DLC.

Could Resident Evil 2 Remake get new DLC?

Capcom is contemplating the possibility of DLC for Resident Evil 2

A press event in Dubai had Game Director Kazunori Kadoi and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi speaking about Resident Evil 2; both leads stated that the possibility of providing post-launch DLC is currently being discussed at Capcom. However, nothing has been confirmed as of this point.

Kadoi and Hirabayashi then asked fans to stay tuned for more developments like this on the Resident Evil Twitter. Once the game makes its debut on the market, they will be sharing further developments through social media.

The developers also stated that there will be plenty of Easter Eggs that reference past entries in the series. In fact, some of them will be from Resident Evil 7 (Which also uses the same engine). The developers stated that they wanted to have an experience that pleases fans but doesn’t alienate newcomers.

A lot of players can’t wait to see the surprises the game has to offer. In fact, some players discovered that there was a New Game+ feature. This was found on the One Shot demo that has become quite popular; so much so that players have found ways to play it over, and over again.
