MLB The Show 19 recently revealed their Diamond Dynasty players of the month for May. While several players earned their well-deserved rewards, it was Pittsburgh’s Josh Bell who is taking home the big prize.
Josh Bell leads record month of May
May 2019 will go down in the MLB history books. The 31 days of May featured the long ball in record form! The most home runs hit in MLB history in the month took place in May as 1,135 balls reached the outfield seats and beyond.
Gamers know that many of the May Flashbacks contributed to that record, including Monthly Awards Flashback Josh Bell. To say Bell had a great month is an understatement. The Show Nation reports that Bell finished the month of May with 93 total bases, which is the most by any player since 1958 when Willie Mays got 102.
The 26-year old has already crushed 18 home runs, driven in 57 and is hitting a stout .331 for the Pirates heading into Sunday’s (June 9) action.
