Since Konami’s Super Bomberman R has been ported over to other consoles after its exclusive Switch release, the title has been updated several times, adding in some famous video game characters like Master Chief (Halo), Ratchet (Ratchet and Clank), and even the frightening Pyramid Head (Silent Hill). Another new update has come out today that throws in a whole bunch of Konami characters, new stages, and slight gameplay improvements that bring more explosive fun to the party game.
The biggest part of this new update is the new inclusion of some pretty well-known characters. Naked Snake, Solid Snake, and Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid franchise are here to kick some butt, and not only are they all playable, but renowned voice actor, David Hayter, returns to voice the two Snake bombers (sorry Raiden). There is also a new Mother Base map that lets you throw down at one of the most iconic locations from the stealth-based series.
Konami also added in a few other characters from other franchises of theirs:
– Bill Bomber
– Lance Bomber
– Vic Viper ZERO Bomber
– Ayako Katagiri Bomber
– Ebisumaru Bomber
– Xavier Woods Bomber (voiced by the Xavier Woods himself)
– Max
You guys can check out the trailer that Konami put out, showing off all of the new features coming to the game. Unfortunately, this update is not available for the Nintendo Switch yet; it’s only available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC at the moment, but Konami is planning to release it soon for the hybrid console.
