Madden 21 Leaked Screenshots Reveal Franchise Mode, More Ratings, and New Game Mode
A number of Madden 21 leaked screenshots have surfaced online giving a potential preview of what’s coming in the new game. Amongst the screenshots are a look at what Franchise Mode includes along with several interesting player and team ratings. There also appears to be a brand new game mode. It’s called “The Yard” and has definitely piqued curiosity ahead of the game’s release date.
Madden 21 leaked screenshots show Franchise Mode and ratings
The new Madden game is still over a month away, but we’re getting more new information almost daily. While there are some interesting things popping up with the Madden 21 leaked screenshots, don’t expect much with Franchise Mode. A Twitter account for @MertzCameron showed off some screenshots they obtained in which a Franchise Mode screen looks similar to the Madden 20 game.
However, some of the interesting potential reveals came as far as ratings go. Based on the leaked screenshots, the top-rated rookie for Madden 21 ratings will be the Washington Redskins’ Chase Young. He gets an 80, besting Bengals’ Joe Burrow who tops all rookie QB ratings with a 76. That’s definitely noteworthy as Young is available in the Rookie Premier program for Madden 20.
Another reveal as far as ratings go, comes in terms of the team ratings. The top-rated team in Madden 21 will be the New Orleans Saints based on a leaked screenshot from the user’s Twitter. They’re followed by the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers respectively.
There are plans for ESPN to reveal player ratings this coming week on various programs. Those will include reveals for which NFL players are part of the Madden 21 game’s 99 Club this year.
What is The Yard in Madden 21 game?
One of the screenshots the Twitter user shared appears to show off a brand new game mode that will be in Madden 21. It’s something that hasn’t been revealed anywhere yet and is bringing some intrigue.
In one of the Madden 21 leaked screenshots (below), we see the main menu screen. It shows all the well-known modes such as Ultimate Team, Franchise, Face of the Franchise, and Superstar KO.
However, at the very end of the options is something called “The Yard” with a “Y” symbol above it.
One bit of speculation is that this could be similar to The Neighborhood in NBA 2K games. In this particular part of the game, players can bring their created MyPlayer to get further customizations including tattoos and gear, as well as to participate in training or games. However, The Yard may be more similar to what EA used in some of their other sports titles.
In EA’s NBA Live 19, they had The Streets which brought players online to compete at various outdoor streetball courts. FIFA 20 had the new VOLTA mode which was very similar. The mode allowed for 3-on-3 soccer battles at outdoor playgrounds around the world. Whether or not EA follows suit with what they used in NBA Live/FIFA or follows 2K remains to be seen.
It’s worth mentioning that these should be taken with a grain of salt, as they aren’t confirmed. There has been no official reveals for any of the information above. EA could always change things ahead of the game’s release date. That date is set for August 28, 2020.
