The NFL postseason is about to kick off on Saturday with the Wild Card Round. In conjunction with the first games of the postseason, there are brand new Madden 20 NFL Playoffs items arriving in Ultimate Team. These are upgraded items for many of the biggest stars from the teams competing in the playoffs. Among those players receiving new items are Drew Brees, Deshaun Watson, Stephon Gilmore, and Marshawn Lynch.
Madden 20 NFL Playoffs cards revealed for 12 players
On Friday (Jan. 3) EA’s Madden Ultimate Team began the reveals. They showed several groups of Madden 20 NFL Playoffs cards. The first of the groups they put under the spotlight features an upgraded card for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson as well as New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore. However, many fans seem displeased with the Gilmore item featuring a mere 90 Speed rating.
In addition to Watson and Gilmore, Titans free safety Kevin Byard and Bills middle linebacker Tremaine Edwards are also part of the new Madden 20 NFL Playoffs items. Here’s a look at each of their 95 overall items.
In the second group of players revealed on Friday night, featured players included New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch. Beast Mode gets a new 95 OVR item which features 96 Trucking, 95 Break Tackle, 94 Carrying, 92 Carrying, and 90 Speed.
Brees gets 97 Throw Accuracy Short, 95 Play Action, 93 Throw Accuracy Medium, 92 Throw Under Pressure, and 90 Throw Deep. Not bad for an actual quarterback to use for throwing the ball down the field. Joining Brees and Lynch are the Philadelphia Eagles’ Brandon Brooks and Minnesota Vikings’ Danielle Hunter.
