Game Director Jeff Kaplan Teases New Hero In Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 will feature plenty of new heroes as said by the game director Jeff Kaplan on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. But, we are not sure which and in what numbers these new heroes will be. It is confirmed that Sojourn will be going to be joining the team in the game as teased in the BlizzCon 2019. Apart from that, we don’t actually have any idea what Blizzard has been doing in regards to the new heroes in Overwatch 2.

If you don’t know, Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan hosts a Yule Log stream every Christmas in which he sits in front of a camera right beside the fireplace for nearly ten hours. Yes, you read that right. During the stream, he discusses features in the game, open Christmas presents or just… sits. We have to admit, it is the type of quality content we need from the developers.

During this year’s Yule Log stream, Kaplan broke the silence and talked about the Junker Queen. If you have no idea who she is, Junker Queen is the queen of Junker Town in which Roadhog and Junkrat are a part of. She is known for a really cherish persona and can be a badass on the field as well. Junker Queen was teased to be added to the original Overwatch as one of the DLC heroes. But, it looks like we will be getting this new hero in the upcoming sequel in this franchise. Watch the clip of Jeff talking about this new hero here.

Kaplan says Junker Queen would be Damage or Tank type in the game, but we’ll have to wait and see if she’s even added in the new title or not. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!

Overwatch was released on May 24, 2016, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Overwatch 2 doesn’t have an exact release date at this moment but is expected to hit the consoles and PC in 2020.
