Hopefully you are enjoying playing the July 2020 free games through PS Plus, which include Rise of the Tomb Raider, NBA 2K20, and Erica. But you may already be wondering what is in store for us ahead. What will the free PlayStation Plus August 2020 games be? Here are a few predictions while we wait for the official announcement from Sony.
1. Burnout Paradise Remastered
One exciting game due to come out on August 7th is the arcade racer Inertial Drift, which will be on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch. It’d be cool if we got to play another racing game next month for free through PS Plus. Our pick is Burnout Paradise Remastered. The original PS3 version of the game was made free through the service in 2011. But the PS4 remaster has yet to be free through PS Plus.
2. Dreamfall Chapters
Also coming out in August is Windbound from Deep Silver. Maybe we can play another game from the same developer for free next month. Dreamfall Chapters is “a story about choices and consequences, dreams and reality, magic and science, chaos and order, and the broken heroes whose actions will shape the course of history in all worlds.”
3. Sleeping Dogs
Mafia: Definitive Edition will release for PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 28th. It’d be great to be able to play something else in the same genre for free through PS Plus in August. Our pick is the 2012 title Sleeping Dogs. Although it has been featured before on PS Plus, it has not happened since 2013.
4. The Talos Principle
Maybe Sony will choose a puzzle game for us to enjoy for free next month through PS Plus. Our pick is the 2014 game The Talos Principle. This title was acclaimed both for its gameplay and for its philosophy.
