The summer season is in full swing, and Epic is celebrating with a special 14 Days of Summer Fortnite event. For the next 14 days, Fortnite players can hop in daily to participate in new PvP and PvE activities. Whether you prefer Fortnite’s Battle Royale or Save the World modes, 14 Days of Summer has something for you.
Fortnite 14 Days of Summer Event
As of this writing, Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event is live on all available platforms. Players on PC, console, and mobile platforms can hop in and enjoy everything the event offers. On the Battle Royale front, Epic will temporarily unvault a specific item every day for a 24-hour period. There will also naturally be new cosmetic items to earn and/or purchase as well as new limited-time challenges to complete.
Lastly, every day of the event will feature a different limited-time game mode for Battle Royale. These limited-time modes include Rumble Squads, Wick’s Bounty Duos, Tank Battle Squads, and more. All 14 limited-time modes can be found via this post on Epic’s website.
As for the Save the World PvE component, Epic’s giving it a little summertime love as well. Every day will see the addition of a new summer-themed PvE quest. Completing these quests awards a Summer Tickets currency which can be used to purchase exclusive items. If a player completes all of the event quests, they’ll unlock a special as-yet-revealed new weapon.
Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event will undoubtedly give the game’s already massive popularity a boost. It’s funny, then, to consider that Fortnite itself almost never came to be. Still, despite its strong dominance, Fortnite’s popularity isn’t absolute. Other franchises like Minecraft are still giving Epic’s mega-popular shooter a run for its money. Of course, of those two, only Fortnite has a massive summer event going on.
