There have been a lot of rumors circulating about Grand Theft Auto 6 lately, including that the game may feature virtual reality. But the truth is that we don’t know much of anything about GTA 6 right now, aside from that it will probably be years before it happens. So in the meantime, fans are throwing around a lot of different ideas to try and imagine what the next game could be like. Among them is a brilliant GTA 6 map concept.
Check Out the GTA 6 Map Concept
The map showed up on Reddit. You can see it below:
As you can see, the map features locations from past GTA games. These include Vice City, Liberty City, San Fierro, Las Venturas, and Los Santos. But instead of distributing these locations across the USA, they are presented here as a chain of islands.
While this makes no sense from a realism standpoint (GTA locations are supposed to correspond with real USA cities), it does make sense from a development standpoint. What would the developers do about all the space in between cities if there were to be a giant map of the USA to traverse? It would be impossible to recreate all that terrain, and navigating it even as a player would be overwhelming without fast traveling. It seems more logical, were one to combine the cities into one map, to just create something like this. The island chain is smaller, and offers the possibility of transit by water. Is it absurd? Sure. But GTA is all about the absurd, so it could work. So, it is easy to see why a lot of fans find this GTA 6 map concept an exciting one.
