This week at Gamescom 2018, Capcom revealed the Devil May Cry 5 release date. Fans will finally have the opportunity to continue the stories of Dante and Nero early next year when it launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 8, 2019. This means that the fifth entry in the series will finally arrive more than 10 years after the release of the previous game Devil May Cry 4.
The Devil May Cry 5 release date and more was revealed in a new trailer that was debuted by Capcom at Gamescom 2018. This was the first true gameplay trailer for the game as well, showcasing the strong and crazy action that the hack-and-slash series is known for. We get glimpses of an older looking Dante towards the end but the majority of the trailer focuses on the other protagonist Nero.
You can check out the full-length trailer for yourself above, courtesy of Izuniy, that concludes with the Devil May Cry 5 release date. A lot of gameplay surprises can be seen in the trailer like new weapons and abilities that we dare not spoil for you. The trailer also shows off the stylish and moody graphics as well as the booming soundtrack that enhances the action even more.
If you haven’t had a chance to check the series before, you still have time to before the Devil May Cry 5 release date next year. Capcom released the Devil May Cry HD Collection earlier this year that contains the first three games in the series. The fourth title is also available in HD separately from that bundle.
The Devil May Cry 5 release date trailer wasn’t the only thing to come this week for the upcoming title at Gamescom 2018. Those in attendance at the Gamescom convention this week will also be among the first in the world to check out Devil May Cry 5 in a playable demo.
