Iron Banner is one of Destiny’s competitive PvP modes along with the Trials of Osiris/Nine (or Saint-14?). Every season, Back in Destiny 1, with each Iron Banner launched after a new expansion, players will get a new set of armor sets for each class (Titan, Warlock, and Hunter) with some really cool looking and performing weapons too. The same happened with the Trials of Osiris back then. One of my favorite weapons from Trials of Osiris was and still is – Doctrine of Passing.
Destiny 2: Iron Banner Backlash
Talking about the Iron Banner launched for this season (Season of Dawn), it seems players are having a hard time completing the actual questline released with Iron Banner. As Bungie already commented on the rewards saying:
“If you were paying close attention to the Season of Dawn calendar you may have noticed an Iron Banner-themed Bow. That image will also show up as director dialogue in the game when Iron Banner starts next week. We were hoping to have the new Iron Banner Bow available this Season, but it had to be pushed to Season 10. Sorry about the delay, but we wanted to call it out to avoid any confusion.”
So, we know that there wasn’t a new weapon this season. But for the armor set, Bungie used the armor set that has been featured not once but two times before in Iron Banner. Players really hate the questline for this season’s Iron Banner. Here’s what they have to say on Destiny Reddit:
CobbertDeniro writes, “To the titan that sat on heavy the entire IB game with a bubble and saint 14s helmet, I don’t hate you, I hate what Bungie has made you become”
Soul_of_Miyazaki says, “Iron Banner is more stale and unfun than Factions ever was in D2. It’s time for it to take a break.”
There is countless feedback like this that you can find on Reddit. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and November 19, 2019, on Google Stadia.
