In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 map “Militia,” players fight to the death. But, the compound that houses those battles is designed to ensure survival at all costs.
Fans of Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 will recognize the broad strokes. First of all, “Militia,” set in a gorgeous forest, looks like it could be an unseen portion of Hope County. Furthermore, the map channels that game’s mixture of religious and political extremism. “PATRIOTS OF THE NORTH” and “THE RIGHTEOUS WILL BE REBORN,” scream the walls of the church in blood red graffiti.
Most importantly, however, the compound appears prepared to lock down or mobilize at any minute. ATVs and pickup trucks sink into the muddy road surrounding the central building. And, the presence of steel-plated underground hallways suggest that the “Militia” housed here had prepared to bunker down if things went south.
Let’s take a look at how easy it is to get kills in this survivalist compound.
How is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Map, “Militia,” Structured?
A muddy dirt road, sometimes covered in standing water, runs around the perimeter of the map. Three buildings occupy the area in between: a church and two cabins.
First, the church is the most prominent building and an objective point in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Control mode. With four entrances, the church is surprisingly hard to capture. The entrances provide solid choke points for laying traps and launching surprise attacks. The sanctuary is crowded with pews, but these provide very little cover.
Overall, this is a difficult place to attack and an equally challenging location to defend. Even using the building’s sniper nest almost guarantees quick death. In short, approach the church with caution.
Cabins in the Woods
The one story cabin that sits across the way from the church is similarly vulnerable. Two of its three entrances provide overlooks on busy areas. But using one of them will make you a sitting duck and the other opens on a large boulder which mercs use for cover.
So, the two story cabin is actually the best place to get kills. With a cornucopia of choke points and corridors for surprise attacks, this building is a great place to rack up a killstreak if you fall behind.
It’s up for debate how worthwhile it is to prepare for doomsday. But, hopefully this article helps you prepare for your next Deathmatch.
