From tomorrow, for the course of the next week, Borderlands 3 players will have a new reason to head to Eden-6; the ongoing Loot the Universe event will be shifting its focus over from Promethea to the jungle planet. That means much greater loot drop chances for Legendary gear throughout all of Eden-6’s areas.
Borderlands 3 Loot the Universe: Eden-6
Loot the Universe is one of the two Borderlands 3 events which are currently live, alongside Revenge of the Cartels. While the latter is a major seasonal event which will be live until the first week of June, Loot the Universe is a more minor four-week loot event. Each week, the event boosts the drop chances of Legendary gear on a specific Borderlands 3 planet. The first week focused on Pandora, while the second took place on Promethea. Tomorrow, week 3 will start on Eden-6.
While Loot the Universe is active on Eden-6, each of the planet’s map regions will have a greater chance for Legendary loot dropping. However, each region will only increase the drop rates for a specific type of gear. For instance, players might find more Legendary Shotguns dropping in Ambermire, or more Legendary Shields dropping in Jakob’s Manor. Gearbox doesn’t reveal what these items will be; it’s up to players to find out for themselves.
After the next week spent on Eden-6, Loot the Universe will head across to Nekrotafeyo for its final week. After that, the event will come to an end, while Revenge of the Cartels continues for a short while after. It’s currently unknown whether Gearbox will launch a new event to replace Loot the Universe, although it is likely that they will release something; Loot the Universe itself followed a month of paired weekly mini-events which took place throughout April. Of course, there is also a second Takedown mission on the horizon, expected to launch sometime next month.
