In the tweet above from Nintendo’s official Twitter account, they said to expect 35 minutes of new information on Nintendo Switch titles. Among those titles is Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Rumors have been floating around this Nintendo Direct happening last month, but now we’re finally getting it. Typically, a Nintendo Direct has happened in January which gives fans an idea of what’s coming throughout the year. Additionally, the last Direct was released in November for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Nintendo Direct Predictions
First off, the obvious prediction is more info on Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It’s safe to say Nintendo will show off a wide variety of gameplay and possibly reveal when it’ll come out.
Next, it’s likely that they’ll announce more Wii U ports heading to the Switch. Among the possible ports are Super Mario Maker, Pikmin, and Super Mario 3D World to name a few. More recently, Nintendo released New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for the Switch last month.
Additionally, more info on Animal Crossing, Pokemon, and Super Smash Bros. DLC are possible. For Smash Bros., footage of Joker, the latest DLC character, is a safe bet and we could get a release date for his DLC. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that we’ll get a tease as to the next DLC character after Joker.
Besides first-party content, third-party publishers are bound to share some news. Potential announcements could range from Assassins Creed III coming to the Switch, more cross-play titles, more Final Fantasy news, to Mortal Kombat 11 footage. The door is wide open for third-parties to bring some Switch content.
