There is a lot of stuff that players can do right now in Battle Royale as part of the 14 Days of Fortnite. However, one particular activity isn’t nearly as holly jolly as it was supposed to be for players. That particular issue is related to a certain bug that players are encountering right now. The bug is resulting in players not receiving theĀ Fortnite Take the Elf emote.
Originally, the Fortnite Take the Elf was supposed to be a reward as part of the 14 Days of Fortnite event. In particular, the newest day eight challenge rewards players with the new emote. Unfortunately, though, upon completion of the challenge, players aren’t receiving the emote. There is an unfortunate bug that is resulting in this happening.
Fortnite Take the Elf Delay Details
Thankfully, Epic Games is already hard at work addressing the issue, despite the holiday season. There will be a fix for this problem soon but players will have to wait in the meantime. Unfortunately, affected players won’t receive theĀ Fortnite Take the Elf emote until “early next year”. The current release date for the emote is set for early 2019.
While that may sound like a really long time to wait, thankfully, next year is just next week. Unfortunately, there’s no telling how early it will be. Epic Games did not give a specific release date for the delayed emote. All we know is that all players who complete the challenge between now and then will receive it as planned.
It is entirely possible that many employees are still on holiday break and aren’t able to work hard to fix it until later on. As such, don’t expect the Fortnite Take the Elf emote until next week at the earliest. However, it could take longer than that. In the meantime, we recommend players complete the day eight challenge of damaging opponents with different weapons.
