Final Fantasy fans will be happy to know that Final Fantasy XV Comrades is now available for standalone purchase. The multiplayer expansion is for sale on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam stores for only $9.99 USD. Note that this is only the multiplayer expansion by itself and does not include any of the main game. As such, this is targeting a specific audience most likely.
Final Fantasy XV Comrades is an online-only expansion for the game that allows you to create your own character. It’s great for those who enjoy other similar games like Final Fantasy XIV. You are able to create some truly good-looking characters of your own in the engine and then level them up. There are quests, bosses to fight, and more with up to three other players.
Final Fantasy XV Comrades Details
In addition to Final Fantasy XV Comrades releasing standalone, a new update released for the multiplayer version today. It introduces some new quests to take on with friends and even 10 new bosses for players to challenge. Note that PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold is required for playing the online multiplayer if you are on PS4 or Xbox One.
If you are reading this and already own the Comrades expansion through the base game, you will get this as a free update. However, there are reports of issues accessing the multiplayer right now through the main game. In this case, Square Enix recommends downloading the Comrades standalone version in the meantime while it is being fixed.
