Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Weekly Roundup (9/30-10/4)

Another week, another weekly update on Smash Bros. Ultimate. The updates for this week come from the Super Smash Blog. Here’s the rundown:

Sunday (9/30)

For this day, the Kapp’n assist trophy was shown off. The blog post says “when Kapp’n takes the stage he hops on a bus and drives around the stage. Careful! When he hits a fighter, he’ll carry them off the stage in his bus”.

Monday (10/1)

To start Monday off, returning fighter Sheik was highlighted. This time around he’ll wear his costume from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Among the many moves at his arsenal is his speedy dash, a way to get close to or away from opponents.

Tuesday (10/2)

This day we got not one, but two updates. For the first one, it goes over “Afternoon on the Island”, a song from Tomodachi Life. For the second one, Saffron City, a stage representing Pokemon Red & Blue was shown off.

Wednesday (10/03)

These next two posts are both Star Fox themed. The first post talks about returning character, Fox. His voice actor and costume come from Star Fox: Zero, the most recent entry from the series that was on the Wii U. The second update flashbacks to the original Star Fox game from 1993. It was the first Super Nintendo game to have 3D graphics.

Thursday (10/4)

For the last update of the week, Mimiku, one of several Pokemon assist trophies was shown off. It drags a nearby opponent under it and attacks them. If the opponent is over 100% damage, it’s an instant KO.
