Today, Square Enix announced that their upcoming action-adventure title, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, will be indeed getting a new game plus mode that will allow you start the game over upon completion with all of your hard-earned skills, weapon upgrades, outfits, and gear. Now, most games have a new game plus mode for those that want to experience the same game over again, but Square Enix is doing things a little bit differently for Lara Croft’s last adventure, at least for this rebooted series.
There will be three different paths for Lara to choose from in the new game plus mode and these paths will determine your play-style for your new play-through of the campaign. Here are the three detailed paths that Square Enix has decided to share with us today (via Comicbook):
Path of the Serpent
Your gameplay features an emphasis on stealth and subterfuge. Take down your foes one by one, using sound and decoys to sow chaos among their ranks. Mud and camouflage lets you lash out at your foes before slipping back into the shadows.
Path of the Jaguar
Your gameplay features an emphasis on hunting and combat. Strike down your enemies with an unrivaled ferocity. Your agility and close-ranged prowess tear through your enemies with knife takedowns.
Path of the Eagle
Gameplay features an emphasis on traversal and resourcefulness. Observe your enemies from afar, scouting out to plan your next attack. Traverse with ease, attacking enemies from long range.
Depending on the path you choose, you will receive skills, weapons, and special outfits exclusively for that path; these skills will further complement your path and cater towards how you decide to play.
You can experience the finale of Crystal Dynamic’s Tomb Raider trilogy once it launches on Sep 14 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
