SEGA has revealed that Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 is available right now. That’s right, if you are reading these words, then you can download the mobile game right now on Google Play or App Store for Android and iOS respectively. Fans of the MegaTen and Persona series have been waiting quite some time for the game’s release date ever since its initial announcement.
Instead of announcing the release date ahead of time, SEGA has decided to simply shadow drop Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 for release. You can download the free-to-play game in its entirety right now and play through what we consider one of the best mobile adaptations of a console game series ever. Fans had the chance last month to play through almost the entire game from start to finish during the closed beta.
We also had the chance to check out during that game and walked away absolutely impressed. Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 has you take on the role of a Liberator as you face the evil Acolytes organization. You can summon, talk to, and even fuse an assortment of demons as you follow along with the surprisingly good storyline.
Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 captures the feel of the main MegaTen and Persona console games in almost every single way. The graphics are great, depicting each of the demons in high-quality 3D, meanwhile, the story cutscenes take place in anime-style 2D. Like other mobile games, there is PvP for challenging other players in turn-based battle and seeing who has the best demon team around.
Perhaps one of the most impressive elements of Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 is that it has its own procedural first-person dungeon to explore in addition to the linear story missions.
