Spyro Reignited Trilogy Looks to Be Coming to the Switch and PC

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy looks to be coming to the Switch and the PC, though we’re still not sure if that means it’ll be releasing at the same time as the Xbox One and PS4 editions. As many old fans of Spyro will know, the reveal of the Spyro trilogy making its way to current platforms was a moment that was hotly anticipated thanks to a number of leaks over the years.

However, it wasn’t revealed that the PC and Switch would also be getting access of the game when it was originally revealed. This new information comes from a drop down on Spyro’s official website where the Nintendo Switch and PC are listed under ‘select a platform’. The Switch is actually listed twice, which may indicate just a general mistake or may indicate that the inclusion of PC and Switch may just be an error in general.

While unofficial, it would make sense for Spyro to head onto the PC and Switch as well. As mentioned above, Crash Bandicoot was originally a PS4 exclusive but was then revealed by Nintendo to be on its way to the Switch. Since it debuted on the portable console, it has allowed players to spend countless hours trying to make their way through difficult level after difficult level. It is because of this that the possibility of Spyro making its way onto Switch and PC is a very real possibility.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy, much like Crash Bandicoot, will include three games from the franchise. The original Spyro The Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. We are more than certain that the return of these games will bring a nostalgic feeling of excitement to old fans, as well as reel in more than a few new ones who haven’t played the games before.
